About the translator: HORT Navy, born in 1987, has obtained Bachelor degree of Art in English. Like many Cambodians, she did not have many books to read when she was a child. It was only when an old uncle of hers gave her a book that he unofficially translated to share with the people he loved, that she too became a book lover. She then pursued a dream to translate quality books to share with other people, especially the young generation. In 2010, when Navy started to work at Sipar Publishing as Sales Representative, her dream came true: recognizing her ability and qualifications as a translator, Sipar’s editorial team invited her to be translate the popular book James and the Giant Peach. She enjoyed working on this project and especially the challenge of trying to translate Roald Dahl’s sense of humour into Khmer!
