Children’s Book Day 2014: come celebrate with IBBY

International Children’s Book Day is here again and this year IBBY Cambodia invites readers young and old to come join us for a celebration of books and reading at Wat Phnom Children’s Park on April 5th. Starting at 2:00PM there will be events and free reading available for children and adults. Our program for the day is published here

2:00 p.m. Preparation of booths by each vendor, books exhibition (autograph session) Free reading at the Reading corner
3:00 – 3:30 p.m. Drama Plays “Chek Chek wants to get married” by AIS students With the presence of the Authors and Illustrators of the book, winner of “Honor List – Illustrator” selected by IBBY Cambodia (include autograph session)
3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Storytelling, Kamishibai, Puppet show, games… (Domrei Sor, SVA, Sipar)

Face painting (Open Book)

Free reading

4:30 – 5:00 p.m. Drama Plays “The Prince who never laughed” by D.E.A.R With the presence of the Author of the book, winner of “Honor List -Author” selected by IBBY Cambodia (include autograph session)
5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Demonstrate the reading activity to young children as share reading and reading aloud (Room to Read).

Drawing (Comic Arts, Kristine Hakim);  exhibition of the works

Workshop on “Reading to Babies and Toddlers” for Parents (Save the children)

6:00 – 6:30 p.m. Lucky draw (D.E.A.R)
