Children’s Book Day Celebrations 25th March 2017 Cambodia

International Children’s Book Day is happening again this year on March 25th, 2017. Save the date and come join us for the celebrations.

IBBY Cambodia has organized the International Children’s Books Day in Cambodia every year for the past five years. This is a public event for children, young people, parents, and teachers. Our aim is to bring children and books together through helping teachers and parents animate activities around children books, raising awareness among parents on the importance of reading to children, and to excite children with the pleasure of reading.  Admission is free.

Please come join us on March 25th to celebrate. Our theme this year is “Wildlife”.

Book Day activities include:

• Storytelling on the topic of “Wildlife”
• Kamishibai: Japanese traditional storytelling and puppet show
• Plays and performance based on children’s favourite books
• Reading competition, and prize ceremony
• Drawing and illustration activities
• Handmade book production
• STEM activities
• Face painting
• Free reading and story sharing
